Randall's Island Circ
~ Dolphin Watch ~

Dolphins seem to enjoy our stretch of the East River this time of year.   We saw two calves last week, and I had two sightings last April around this time.

So let's head up to Randall's and see if we find any flippered friends. We're still pre-season, so this trip is restricted to paddlers with winter training + membership.

Our pace will be moderate.  Depending on how we feel we may pull up our boats on Ward's Island on the way home to stretch our legs, or have an on-the-water break.

  • Skill level: Advanced (see what this means here)
  • Prerequisites: Winter Paddler training + membership
  • 1:00pm - Meet at Queen's Landing
  • 1:30pm - Launch
  • High slack at HG: 3:30pm
  • 5:00pm - Release
