Progress on the construction of our new boathouse continues. Framing, electrical, and plumbing is underway on the 3.5 floors, 8000+ square feet of NBCB space within the structure. Construction and installation of the bulkhead and new launch should start this spring. We hope to have the project completed by summer of 2025.
While the building is being constructed by Broadway Stages (and their contractors), NBCB has its own architects designing the interior spaces. Our recent collaboration with the new Queens Landing Boathouse and Environmental Center (run by Hunters Point Parks Conservancy), has given us a sense of what a boathouse (with a bathroom) can be!

Join us this Wednesday Dec 13th, for our first NBCB Boathouse Design Meeting.
We'd love to hear your thoughts and get your feedback. Board Member Rob Buchanan, Founding Member Dewey Thompson, and our architect will be present to discuss the project.
