KAYAK: Red carpet & Paddling at night

  • Only select this if you have been assessed as a NBCB Kayak Trip Assistant.

Now we have a "red carpet" or red mat to put our kayaks on the water. Let's use it to go to Williamsburg Bridge. We are going to paddle at night, but who cares? Now we have a warm place with lights and a bathroom. The water temperature is still over 60, and the air is also over 60 degrees. I recommend a wind jacket. Bring water and a snack.

  • Launch Kayaks: 6:00 PM
  • Slack: 7:53 PM  and Flood begins
  • Return: 7:30  PM, after dark
  • Release: 8:00  PM

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc. Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing.
