  • Select this option if you are ready to take the Intermediate Assessment. See our website for all the requirements for going on Intermediate trips.
  • Only select this if you have been assessed as a NBCB Kayak Trip Assistant.

This trip is for beginners who want to know our new house in Queens (Gotham Point Building) and paddle towards Williamsburg Bridge. We are going to face light currents coming back. Maybe this trip can qualify you to become an intermediate paddle. You need to show some skills. The water is still warm. Bring water with you.
  • Skill level: Beginner (see what this means here)
  • Meet:  4:30 PM sharp at Gotham Point 1-15 57th Ave, Queens, NY 11101
  • Launch Kayaks: 5:00 PM
  • Slack: 7:12 PM  and Flood begins
  • Return: 6:30  PM, before dark
  • Release: 7:00  PM (Now we have water, lights and bathroom...)

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc. Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing.
