Street level, corner space
Join me at the new Queens Landing Environmental Education Center for a Free Science & Art workshop.
After a 10 minute presentation about the Environmental History of Newtown Creek, we'll take a sunset walk along the creek and start sketching.
You'll be guided through an outline drawing and a value sketch, and then back at the classroom, we'll break out the watercolors for a third version of your landscape.
You'll also learn about Nature Journaling and making an art travel kit.
All skill levels are welcome; all supplies are provided. Appropriate for teens & adults.
Thanks to the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy for the space.
