Advancing into the current while we can... then a skills practice with an easy return.

This is a small group trip (six participants only) for advancing beginners i.e. those who have already had their first or second experience in a decked kayak this season and are ready to up their game as it applies to them individually: Advancing to spray skirt, being given an opportunity to demonstrate a wet exit (see below), safely enter and exit cross currents, paddle short distances at a harder pace...

Given good weather and achievability of a safe skill practice location (Bushwick Inlet) - some participants may volunteer their first wet exit and experience an assisted re-enter.
