KAYAK: Intermediate: Hallett's Cove Beach

  • Registering as a Kayak Paddler. Make sure you've been assessed for the skill level of this trip before registering.
  • Only select this if you have been assessed as a NBCB Kayak Trip Assistant.

We will canoe ferry to the launch from Manhattan Ave Street End Park (MASE) (yes, a 2-Boat paddle!). We'll then prep the kayaks and launch from the Ash St boatyard. 

Then we head up the East Channel of Roosevelt Island, land at Hallett's Cove Beach, relax, have a snack, practice some skills, and head back

  • Skill level: Intermediate  (see what this means here).
  • Meet: 3:00 PM sharp at Manhattan Avenue Street-End Park
  • Launch Kayaks: 3:45 PM
  • Slack: 5:32 PM and the Ebb begins
  • Return: 6:45 PM
  • Release: 7:30 PM

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc. Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing.
