The bird-watching trips are back for the 2023 season! We are launching from Manhattan Avenue Street End Park! (Map.)

A low-intensity paddle on Newtown Creek focusing on finding the birds! We will use one of our 29' Langley canoes for all participants, but if there's enough interest, we will deploy the second boat as well.

Binoculars will be provided, or bring your own. A lowering tide is a great chance to see wading birds.

We'll head up the creek and see who has arrived. We'll look for black-crowned night heron, blue heron, cormorants, swans, and other local and migratory birds.

If you are able to come half an hour early or stay half an hour after to help with the 29' Langley canoes, just let us know. See them in action here!

Check back for more Friday bird-watching trips!
