After a season of service at the Public Paddles, it's time to put the big boat back in dry dock for the winter!
We need at least six people and preferably eight or more to carry the boat once we paddle it over to 520 Kingsland Ave., the Newtown Creek Alliance HQ.
High tide is about 6:30 PM on Thu., 11/3. Sunset is around 5:50.
Since this is the first time we're dealing with *no* land access to the yard and dock, it's a little trickier.
Some of us will meet at MASE and paddle to the yard dock to launch the Langley. Then we will paddle the two boats to Kingsland. Everyone else will meet us at Kingsland to help with hauling the boat up.
To preserve a little daylight, the "paddle group" will meet at 5 at MASE, and tje "land group" will meet at 520 Kingsland at 5:30. To find us, walk around the side of the building on the right side when facing it, all the way to the creek bulkhead at the back.
Hopefully we're all done and sorted by 6:30!
