Introduction to Nature Journaling the East River Waterfront

Session 1 - Zoom Information below

One in a series of four.

Nature Journaling focuses on the appreciation of nature. Anyone with a love of nature can participate; no  experience is necessary. All you need is paper, a pencil and your curiosity. 

Session 1 - Zoom - 90 minutes. The basics of nature journaling, including materials and review some of the flora and fauna found around Newtown Creek.

Minimum supplies: Paper and pencil. 

Have a subject ready such as a plant, vegetable or a photo to reference,

Session  2  - In Person  Sunday, April 3rd Noon - 3:30- Urban Bike and Sketch together. Meet at Mc Golrick Park. 

Sketching locations: top of the Kosciusko Bridge, Newtown Creek Nature Walk, and Hunters Point Park South. If you don't bike, you can join us via your preferred transportation method. More info to come.


Session  3  April DateTBD , 90 minute Zoom Nature Journaling with a focus on trees and landscapes

Session  4 -In Person  May Urban Bike and Sketch Together Route will be announced.
