($50 per winter season for members)
This is Part 1 of 2. You must pass both to go out with us in winter conditions.
Part 1 Zoom Lecture, demo and Quiz; we'll cover hypothermia, club rules, dry suit options and shopping.
Part 2 In person you will demonstrate proper gear and that you can get in and out of a kayak unassisted wearing your dry suit. And be able to prepare your boat, gear and self unassisted. You may arrange this with any trip leader.
You must be fully vaccinated to attend this event. Bring one of the standard forms of proof of vaccination.
Bring drinks or snacks to share if you like. We look forward to seeing everyone.
