Let's do the J stroke again!

This is a creek-based trip to work on basic paddling skills as outlined in our Canoe Resources page.

Because we need skilled stern (steering) paddlers for member trips, I am going to have to prioritize members who have had some training and just need a little more to get them ready.

But I hope to have as many pure beginners as possible as well so as to spread the paddling joy far and wide.

We'll do a little talking on land but get in the boats as soon as possible and head up the creek a ways to one of the sheltered areas where we can practice. And we'll come back before dark.

Dress for the water, not the air: NO COTTON clothing. Bring lots of water.

Please e-mail with any questions.
