BECAUSE THE TIMING IS SO SHORT AND I NEED TO BALANCE THE BOATS, I AM DISABLING REGISTRATION, BUT PLEASE E-MAIL ME IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN COMING ALONG SO I CAN SEE WHAT'S POSSIBLE.

We'll paddle on the end of the ebb tide down to the Williamsburg Bridge and take in the scene in Brooklyn as the sun sets over Manhattan Island. We can think about what used to be: forest and flood plain for thousands and thousands of years, and then in quick succession, orchard and farm, industry and shipping, and now the concentrated capital of real estate development. How did it change so fast?

We should have time to get under the Williamsburg Bridge and then ride the flood back to Bushwick Inlet and float around for a while there. A few weeks back there were tiny goslings, still fuzzy and yellow, as well as sandpipers and grackles. What will be there now?

I can take a couple of beginners as long as I have experienced stern paddlers to balance them.
