Let's face the East River

You are going to learn the basics of paddling a sea kayak, how to grab the paddle, forward stroke, draw strokes, 360 pivot, reverse and how to stop.

  • Skill level: Beginner
  • Meet:  1:00 PM sharp at Manhattan Avenue Street-End Park
  • Launch Kayaks: 2:30 PM
  • Slack: 2:45 PM and Flood begins
  • Return: 3:30 PM

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc. Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing.
