No worries, it is not my plan to "plunge or immerse momentarily or partially under the surface (as of a liquid) so as to moisten, cool, or coat", but to paddle against the incoming East River flood. Since that is a little harder, you will need previous kayak experience (in decked boats), and you should be able to paddle at a fair pace for ca. 2 hours. If we should run out of steam, we will turn around for the flood to take us home ;)
