Coffee & Nautical Knots & Crafts
At Sweetleaf in Greenpoint
A mini session of Nautical Knots: Reef Knot, Bowline & Monkey Fist
A monkey's fist is so named because it looks like a small bunched fist/paw. It is tied at the end of a rope to serve as a weight, making it easier for sailors to throw the rope.
Knitters and other crafters also welcome. Sit, sip and enjoy. Arrive early to get a seat. This popular spot on Freeman Street, Sweetleaf, gets busy.
