Nautical Knots the Monkey Fist
Carry on the tradition of sailor's crafting at Fifth Hammer Brewery.
It's really happening. We're learning the Monkey's Fist!
A monkey's fist or monkey paw is a type of knot, so named because it looks somewhat like a small bunched fist/paw. It is tied at the end of a rope to serve as a weight, making it easier for sailors to throw the rope.
We'll also have our knitting projects if you would like to work on something. All levels welcome. Or just come hang out and enjoy a beverage (or three) with us.
**Feel free to bring snacks for yourself or to share!
