Biology/Art: Flipping Tides

Learn about  tidal saltwater marshes that once surrounded our local shorelines. Saltwater marshes still play a critical roles on protecting us from storms, filtering pollution and providing habitat for numerous birds, fish, crabs and other creatures.

Our art project is flip book animation. You'll learn animation concepts such as keyframing, ease in & ease out, and more. These are also used in digital animation.

After a 20 minutes slide presentation about  Tidal Saltwater Marshes, you'll learn how to make your own flip book animation, All materials as well as a guided art lesson included. No experience necessary.

Materials include flip book paper, pencil, markers and colored pencil

Professional 3D animator and illustrator Spencer Sutton will be our guest art instructor.

If you like, bring food or drink to share.
