Nautical Knots the Monkey Fist

Carry on the tradition of sailor's crafting at Fifth Hammer Brewery.

monkey's fist or monkey paw is a type of knot, so named because it looks somewhat like a small bunched fist/paw. It is tied at the end of a rope to serve as a weight, making it easier for sailors to throw the rope.

We'll also have our knitting projects if you would like to work on something.  All levels welcome. Or just come hang out and enjoy a beverage (or three) with us.

**Feel free to bring snacks for yourself or to share!

  • Do you have craft tools or yarn you no longer need? Bring yarn or tools you'd like to give away for our craft swap!
  • Is there a project you are proud of or a book or new tools you enjoy, please share for our Bring & Brag.
