Biology/Art: Painting Plankton
Learn about microscopic creatures living in our local waterways , then create your own painting of them. All materials as well as a guided art lesson included. No experience necessary.
We'll help you use watercolors and oil pastels to create a colorful painting on professional grade watercolor paper.
First there'll be a short slide presentation & video about phytoplankton & zooplankton. After which, weather permitting, we'll sit on the Long Island City waterfront to paint.
If you like bring wine, beer, snacks for yourself or to share.
