We will encourage all to do a wet exit: Turn your boat upside down while sitting inside, swim out and with assistance climb back in again.
Limited to 6 students.
We'll review the basics on land and then head out onto the water to practice our skills. The group will paddle to Bushwick Inlet for more practice.
Note: Depending on the skill level you demonstrate, you may or may not be assessed as intermediate after this trip.
Please do not sign up if you don't know the basic paddle strokes. Not appropriate if you've never been in a kayak before.
We launch into fast moving water with large waves.
