If you are new to kayaking and/or haven't paddled with us before (so, haven't started the process of getting your skill level assessed to move up to Intermediate), this is the PERFECT paddle for you. We're going to meet up at LICCB's boathouse (46-01 5th Street in LIC) and then launch from their dock on the Anable Basin, a calm and safe inlet for practicing some kayak skills and getting you comfortable with the salty barnacle you are fast becoming.
