Nautical Crafts

& 2 Essential Sewing Stitches

Carry on the tradition of sailor's knitting on the pier at LIC Boathouse.

Work on your own project or join the Learn to Knit group.  All levels welcome. Or just come hang out with us and enjoy beverages and snacks as we watch the water.

This month, in addition to knitting, we will be learning two essential stitches for basic mending, running stitch and back stitch! Bring thread, sewing needles, and fabric if you have it. We also will provide all materials needed.

  • Do you have craft tools or yarn you no longer need? Bring yarn or tools you'd like to give away for our craft swap!
  • Is there a project you are proud of or a book or new tools you enjoy, please share for our Bring & Brag.
  • Additionally, Monica will be teaching a new skill each time we meet. You should see what tricks she has up her sleeves!

Rain location is 5th Hammer Brewery
