Historically a naval base for building the nation's warships, Brooklyn Navy Yard has reinvented itself as a modern industrial park, that is just now opening up to the public. Leaving from the Barge Bar, let's go and explore how much we can see from the sea!
We will not be able to land there, but bring your sandwiches, and we will dodge the ferries to picnic afterwards (sitting in the boats!) at the back end of Wallabout Channel.
