Instead of paddling to the Bronx River, our crew will join explorer D. Thompson on his expedition to Arthur Kill, the tidal straight between Staten Island and a borough of New York City, and Union and Middlesex counties in New Jersey. We will meet at the Barge Bar to load the boats onto our new trailer and drive to Staten Island to launch from Conference Home. The paddle trip will be around 13 miles and 3.5 hours long.
Please bring food, plenty of drinking water and dress for the weather.
