Like speed, English kills!

Actually, "English Kills" is the name of one end of our own Newtown Creek, up past the aerators, in a land shrouded in myth ... Maspeth!

We'll paddle the full length of the creek, surveying it for changes and charismatic megafauna. If you've never seen the end of the creek, you owe yourself a treat.

This is a valedictory paddle for NBBCer and hoopy frood Brad, who has taken as his creed some very wise words: "Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing  -- absolutely nothing  -- half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."
