When the subway trains are down, the tunnels are flooded, and the bridges are burning, how you gonna get to your stranded sweetie, stuck on the rock? This is how.
Kick off the night before our national day off with a paddle to the west bank of the East River. We'll be taking what some might say is an aggressive route, crossing in the middle of the river headed to Stuy Town, where our Bae was last reportedly seen. Well keep our eyes peeled, working our way east (south) along the west bank to Corlear's Hook, where we'll hook-up with our long lost love, and ferry them back to the Best Bank on the East Coast, North Brooklyn, Baby!
This trip is for intermediate paddlers, and will require a healthy sense of adventure, a good sense of humor, and, above all, a burning desire to turn on your love lights, and let them shine as we'll be returning in the twilight of Independence Eve.
