The bird-watching trips are back for the 2019 season! We are launching from Manhattan Avenue Street End Park! (Map.)

A low-intensity paddle on Newtown Creek focusing on finding the birds! Binoculars will be provided, or bring your own.

On this first summer Friday, we'll head up the creek and see who has arrived. We'll look for black-crowned night heron, blue heron, cormorants, swans, and other local and migratory birds.

We might even take one of our brand-new 29' Langley canoes! See them in action here!

With the lowering tide, it could be a great chance to see shore birds. It's a perfect situation for our first birding trip of the season and a great welcome back to our programming.

Check back for more Friday bird-watching trips!
