CANOE:  Beginners Skills & Drills  (Advanced): Paddling Against the Current

  • Skill level: Beginner's who have the fundamentals down and want so hone their skills. This is not a trip for someone who has never been in a canoe before. (see what this means here)

  • What to wear and bring 
While this year's boating season may be winding down, it's not too late to keep honing the skills you practiced all summer. This Skills & Drills will take place at Bushwick Inlet. The twist is that we'll do a bit of paddling against the current to get there. That means you'll have to put some muscle into it. But it's also a good opportunity to better understand the forces that drive our little river. 

Once there we will spend some time practicing and perfecting our strokes. We'll return to the boat club around 8:00 for fire and food for those who want to join in.
