Halloween draws near! The veils between the worlds begin to fray. All is unknowable -- especially how to carry your pumpkins home from the store. Well, here's a thought: go by canoe!
We'll take tandem canoes and paddle to Hallets Cove in Astoria. After a WET beach landing, it's time to hit the Socrates Mini Market and hope that the pumpkins are in. (And maybe even a trip to the Costco Snack Bar or other spending op.) Therefore: wear shoes that can get wet for a beach landing!
