Did you know that the East River is not really a river? Do you know how the tidal currents work?  Have you understood why we go with the ebb or with the flood, paddling to the North or to the South?

On this relaxed after-work paddle, we will follow the ebb and flow of the currents.  At the beginning of each paddle, we will take a quick look at the current charts and the marine weather to get a better sense of the water and the environment we are paddling in.

Depending on the currents, we may paddle to Bushwick Inlet, Anable Basin, Hallets Cove, around Roosevelt Island or up the Newtown Creek.

Don't forget to bring snacks and plenty of water to drink.
