We'll putter around on tandem canoes, mostly on the Creek, and will aim to watch the sunset from the mouth of the Creek before we head back to the boatyard, and meet up with our fellow kayakers, for a hang in honor of Surgeon Admiral Sir Thomas Gimlette, who is said to have first added lime cordial to the daily gin tot of the men of the Royal Navy to help combat the ravages of scurvy on long voyages (thank you, Wikipedia).

Scurvy was once a common malady of sailors. Eventually, the connection to a lack of vitamin C was made, but how to get sailors to take their medicine? Admiral Gimlette was a wise man when he invented the Gimlet cocktail, a mix of Lime juice, simple syrup and gin.

Bring food and/or drink to share.  We'll have the fire going.
