It's time to whisper words of wisdom! Or at least sit around in boats and watch for birds.
This will be a brisk paddle down to Bushwick Inlet, where we can relax for a little while, look for charismatic megafauna, and discuss whether it would be better to name this trip Bushwick Inlet the Right One In -- more vampires, less Sir Paul McCartney!

Bring water and, if you want, a snack.
Dress for paddling! Wear light, comfortable, NONCOTTON clothes and shoes that can get wet. Depending on interest and personnel (and temperature!), we could even do a little rescue practice. If you want to do that, bring a change of clothes and a towel. You can rinse the salt water off back in the boat yard in a cold-water beach shower.
