Canoe rescue practice at Bushwick Inlet for Members with previous NBBC Canoe experience.
Meet 6:30 SHARP please for this one - we will meet early to get boats out. Plan is to fight a little current on the way down, we must lock the gate by 6:40 Slack before Flood 7:09PM Return to boatyard/clean up approx. 8:45PM
Water is still cold, so please bring a full change of clothes for after the trip. A towel is recommended. We'll have a fire after. If you have a wet or dry suit this is a chance to test it out, but not required.
We hope to have a "dry boat" on the trip, so it should be possible to come on the paddle and just observe the rescues, but this trip is for paddlers with previous NBBC canoe trip experience only. Email me please if you aren't sure or have any questions.
