ACA Level 2 Practice and Assessment July 7 and 8
NBBC is offering a level 2 class at Lake Sebago at Harriman State Park. ACA Level 2 will teach you the skills to control and navigate your kayak and perform rescues and self-rescues. It's a fun class teaching you great skills (think driving license) and is a first step towards becoming an Official NBBC paddler, trip assistant or trip leader.
This will be a formal level 1-2 class but geared towards what skills the participants need to become muscle memory in. The participants will be assessed at the end of the 2nd day and will be a certified level 1 or 2 paddler.
The cost of the class is $150 and covers the class (6-8 hours/day), daily ACA camp fees and lunch for both days. An additional $30 will be for the stay at the NBBC cabin at Lake Sebago for 2 or 3 nights; we recommend you arrive Friday night. An ACA Membership is also highly recommended to have before attending taking an ACA class.
