This will be a practice paddle for the newly intermediate paddler: We will travel with a flood current to visit the Cormorants of UThant island, play with the local currents, then keep moving up along the Rosevelt Island/EAST channel until we cross over to Anable basin where participants may volunteer to demonstrate exits, rescues and rolling. Return along the L.I.C.Gantry and shore.

A note from your trip leader:

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED MEMBER paddles are generally NOT for new members nor for prior members whose skill level have yet to be assessed and confirmed by one of our NBBC trip leaders. This is particularly true for my weeknight Sunset Paddles which adhere to a tight launch schedule. You must be familiar with our facilities and equipment, have previously graduated from NBBC's BEGINNER trips, participated in skill building paddles - or be assessed PRIOR to this trip by an NBBC trip leader.

Never underestimate our BEGINNER paddles - Build your skills!
