Reservation for one night in NBBC's Club cabin at Lake Sebago in Harriman State Park.

This is an ACA facility and ALL guests MUST be members of the ACA as well as NBBC to visit.  ACA membership instructions and link below.  Please make note of your member number and sign in every day that you are in camp.

Basic Camp Sebago rules

It is expected that guests follow all of the general rules for stay at Camp Sebago. Some of these include: No pets, all visitors must register upon arrival and sign in on a daily basis thereafter; quiet hours are from 10pm-7am, PFDs are required for every person in a boat!

NBBC rules are subject to change during our inaugural season at the camp. They are as follows:

Fees

  • Camp Sebago has a $10 daily fee which must be paid directly to the Camp Director Linda Peterson, while you are there.
  • Additionally, you must pay a $15 fee for use of the cabin (daytime w/equipment usage or day and night’s stay), to NBBC.

Prerequisites for cabin use

  • Cabin use is strictly limited to NBBC members.
  • Must have previous paddling experience with NBBC.
  • Must be an ACA member. (see instructions below)
  • Making Reservations

    • Approved NBBC members can reserve online. 
    • Get your registration code by emailing the Cabin Chair, Erica Pajerowski, at erica.pajerowski@gmail.com
    • The cabin has an 8 person maximum capacity. Reservations must be made at least 72 hours in advance of your stay.
    • Steering Committee and Board Members have the privilege of making reservations with 24 hours notice.
    • Max number of consecutive days to stay is 5
    • Cabin and gate keys can be collected from the boat yard.

  • Cabin cleaning and maintenance
  • In addition to all Camp Sebago rules regarding garbage disposal and cleanliness please attend to the following:

    • There is no recycling system at the camp; it is advised that you carry out garbage that can be recycled.
    • Complete the checkout checklist when leaving the camp at the end of your stay; this will help ensure that the cabin is always left in as good or better condition than when you checked in.
    • NBBC cannot take responsibility for any personal items left behind in the cabin.
    • We encourage visitors to follow the 7 “Leave No Trace” principles.
    • If any damage or mess is found at the cabin, the last guest will be considered responsible for it; this could result in having cabin use privileges curtailed.
    • NBBC reserves the right to deny access to the cabin to anyone who consistently fails to follow these rules.
  • Directions to Lake Sebago

    By Car: Take the New York State Thruway north to Exit 15A, Sloatsburg/Suffern. Take Route 17 north to Seven Lakes Drive. Turn right and go exactly 3.2 miles. After you have passed the entrance to Harriman State Park, the ACA camp will be down the first road on your left. The sign says SB2: ADK and Nawakwa. If you are on Seven Lakes Drive and you see the lake on your left, you have passed the entrance to the camp.

    You can also cross the GWB and take Rt. 4  North then Rt. 17 North to NY I 87 and back onto Rt. 17, then follow the above directions through Sloatsburg to Seven Lakes Drive.

    The camp is also accessible by train or bus to the nearest town, Sloatsburg. You would need to make arrangements to get from the bus or train stop to the camp (approx 3 miles).

    Our cabin sleeps 8 people. It cannot be reserved for one person or group’s exclusive use.  Please be prepared to share the space with whomever else reserves a spot while you are there. If the cabin is full, or if you are interested in having your own space, the ACA camp has several facilities that can be rented for a night, a weekend or a few weeks. These include four rental cabins and a tent site. Complete information on what is available and how to apply can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/acalakesebago/home.

    Boat use info:

    We have four canoes and three kayaks for club member use. Paddles, PFD's and skirts are in the cabin. You can find more information about the boats, posted at the cabin.
