This is a practice paddle for the intermediate paddler - and for your NBBC trip leader in training - Noah Hussein, who is leading kayak programs at Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Variety Boys and Girls Club. Co-led by Klaus Schoenwiese

We will head into an almost full ebbing current, crabbing along the LIC shore, cross over to Rosevelt Island south and UThant to play with the local currents and eddies... before heading back across to Hunters Point and the Creek. We are not going all that far so you can put focus on your skills and/or stamina as you please.

Slack/Ebb Begins at 1607, Max Ebb at 1938 , Sunset at 2031, Back on Land by 2115 hrs

A note from your trip leader:

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED MEMBER paddles are generally NOT for new members nor for prior members whose skill level have yet to be assessed and confirmed by one of our NBBC trip leaders. This is particularly true for my weeknight Sunset Paddles which adhere to a tight launch schedule. You must be familiar with our facilities and equipment, have graduated from NBBC's BEGINNER trips, participated in skill building paddles - or be assessed PRIOR to this trip by an NBBC trip leader.

Never underestimate our BEGINNER paddles - Build your skills!
