City of water Day is July 16th!

We will paddle down to Governor's Island, spend the day enjoying the city of water events with the paddling community, then camp overnight on the island.

This is a special event for the New York community and all are welcome to join in the activities during the day on Governor's Island.  The Ferry will be shuttling people to and from all day so if you cant make the paddle please join the party.   Camping has been reserved for paddlers only due to security concerns and Park staff rules.

Kayakers who wish to attend the event will need to be approved by a NBBC kayak trip leader on a qualifying paddle prior to the trip.  You need to demonstrate the skills necessary to make a safe passage to the island. Speak to your Kayak or Canoe trip leaders for more information.  If we get more people than boats, we may need to draw straws.

As we have done in the previous years, we will collect $15 dollers per camper to pay for communal meals (Dinner & Breakfast)

STAY TUNED FOR QUALIFYING PADDLES AND FLOAT PLAN.
