This should be a longer but pleasant sunset paddle even for newly intermediate paddlers: We will circumnavigate Rosevelt Island heading up the East channel into a slack current. After rounding the lighthouse, a gentle though increasing West channel ebb current will give us some assistance. See the Cormorants of UThant island along our way home.

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED MEMBER paddles are generally NOT for new members nor for prior members whose skill level have yet to be assessed and confirmed by one of our NBBC trip leaders. This is particularly true for my weeknight Sunset Paddles which adhere to a tight launch schedule. You must be familiar with our facilities and equipment, have previously graduated from NBBC's BEGINNER trips, participated in skill building paddles - or be assessed PRIOR to this trip by an NBBC trip leader.
