Join us on a war canoe trip to Hallet’s Cove. Upon arrival we will land and you can either watch the beautiful sunset or a group of 5-6 hard-core volunteers geared up in dry suits capsizing one of our large canoes to practice rescue and recovery. If times allows, we will treat ourselves to a COSCO smoothie and paddle back around Roosevelt Island.
War Canoe Recovery
This part of the trip is meant for trip leaders and assistances, but if you feel the urge to rock and roll a boat, you can join us if we should have open spots. It is fun and the suits should keep us all dry and considerably warm in the water. It might not hurt to bring a towel and dry bag with some extra clothes, just in case.
