KAYAK: Early Sunday around Roosevelt Island

  • Registering as a Kayak Paddler. Make sure you've been assessed for the skill level of this trip before registering.
  • Only select this if you have been assessed as a NBCB Kayak Trip Assistant.

Let's do a quick trip around Roosevelt Island, clockwise. It is going to be a nice day, but it is still a winter paddle. Air 58 and water 50 degrees. During this trip we can practice and improve some paddle skills, if you wish. Wear for immersion (dry suit). Bring water and a snack.
  • Skill level: Intermediate / Winter Paddle
  • Meet at 8:00 AM
  • Launch at 8:30  AM
  • Slack at Hell's Gate at 9:38 AM and ebb begins
  • Return at 11:00 AM
  • Release: Before noon
