All-levels East River daytime trip. We'll travel with the flood current on the River, cross at least one ferry landing and likely two, definitely visit the Pepsi Sign in LIC. Depending on how good we all are, and if time allows, we may do a little skills practice in Anable Basin before returning to the Club with the ebb current.
Self Assessment note: All Club levels are welcome, however East River trips are generally a bit more difficult than Creek Trips, so if you're unsure of your skills and/or have never been in a canoe before , you may wish to look for one of our Creek trips to start out. River paddling involves more wakes and ferry traffic so we ask you come prepared to get a bit wet from splashing, to be attentive and feeling ready to paddle a bit harder if needed.
